Welcome to the Leicester Novus Rotary Club. Our membership is made up of a group of local professional people who meet weekly to enjoy each other’s company while discussing and planning projects for charity and the community. We like to think that our club is relaxed, informal and fun. We are all people who are busy in our jobs and lives but are also individuals who also want to get involved in our communities. We want to give something back to the local and wider communities by using our time, talents, and skills to help those who don’t have the same level of opportunity as we do. We recognise that for some, life is often a struggle and we want to support them to develop their own opportunities in life and to be happy.

The Rotary Organisation has a long history of service to communities both locally and internationally. We have had however to break away from the more traditional lunch and breakfast meetings as many of us combine careers with family life and others commute long distances to work. We also wanted to keep costs down so we decided to address this problem by meeting at 7.30 pm on Thursdays, without a meal included. Those members who wish to dine beforehand do so by meeting an hour earlier in the hotels restaurant. Our weekly gatherings include discussing ongoing projects, hearing from speakers or planning our club’s development at the same time as having fun.
